The CW has commissioned ‘Evil Dead’ director Sam Raimi to produce a new reality show for their network to be titled 13. While the president of The CW claims that:

“This series is the first to take the horror movie into the reality world…”

He must be failing to remember that years ago FOX aired their horror reality show Murder In Small Town X. The ratings never really got off the ground and the winner of the show was killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11th prompting the station to never re-air or syndicate the program- probably why we have yet to see repeats of the show on the FOX Reality Channel.

The president of The CW also said that:

“The action takes contestants on a journey with challenges and games designed to frighten them along the way. Similar to horror films, the challenges will play into our deepest fears and anxieties and will reveal things the contestants never knew about themselves.”

I wonder if one of the tasks will involve having to stare at Raimi’s face for as long as possible.
The series is set to air this summer.
